At present, Centrelink will give the kid disability payments even though the kid has legacies from their parents, when the asset threshold is met and some legal arrangements are in place. That means, the kid would have Centrelink payments as well as income from the parents’ legacies.
For parents who are successful in business or have accumulated wealth after years of their fruitful work, they may not know how to protect their assets for the family’s future. Family discretionary trust is a legal structure which may cater for their purpose in this respect.

Surf at the website of State Debt Recovery Office and read the “SDRO Review Guidelines”. For some traffic offences like parking and red light camera, if you have 10 year clear driving record, your penalty may be waived but a caution will be recorded.
