If you are going to rent a residential property but you experience financial hardship in paying rental bond and rent in advance, where can you get help?
You can contact NSW Housing. If you satisfy certain conditions, they can pay for you the rent in advance and even the rental bond. But you have to repay the rental bond if you terminate the tenancy. Remember, if you borrow money first from someone else to pay the rent in advance and afterward apply to Housing, you are no longer eligible because you have already got money (it is your problem to repay the loan, not their problem!)
